Dave Gibbs, Personal Trainer

Hi, my name is Dave Gibbs! My passion for fitness began as a child, being involved in various sports from Track & Field, to basketball, to lifting weights. My mom bought my very first set of dumbbells when I was just 10 years old.

 At the young age of 15, I decided to get my very first gym pass.

 

From then, I was absolutely hooked. Spending time in my early to mid 20's as an active POC Firefighter and certified ground Search & Rescue specialist, my own personal fitness became more and more important as time ticked by.

 

I began training as a professional wrestler in 2016, and have been an active wrestler since 2017. I have had the opportunity to wrestle some of the best in the sport, having indulged in training seminars by the likes of Mick Foley, Billy Gunn, Chris Masters, Al Snow, Silas Young, to name a few.

 

During the pandemic in 2020, I decided it was time to head back to school and pursue my love of fitness at Okanagan College. There, I completed my Fitness Knowlege course, became a certified Weight Lifting Instructor, and lastly, became a certified CFES Personal Trainer.

 

That very same year, I gained employment as a Fitness Coach with the YMCA, working with diverse populations.

 

Having over 23 years of experience training in gym environments all over the beautiful Okanagan, I believe I have finally found my calling.

 

My training philosophy is centered around the belief that fitness should be enjoyable and sustainable. I take a holistic approach, addressing not only physical strength but also mental well-being and nutrition. I customize each workout program to meet your individual needs, ensuring that you reach your fitness goals while having fun along the way.
